I find that a lot of times I put my trust and my confidence in my correct view of doctrine- rather than Jesus crucified, resurrected, and reigning. I think Christians (myself) often equate their confidence in their salvation/sanctification/etc. by how correctly their doctrine conforms to scripture, rather than how wholy they submit themselves to the Lord by faith and trust Him to define their religion (which includes correct doctrine- but doctrine doesn't save: Jesus does). The only fear I see resulting from this is people thinking that someone would adhere to false doctrine and thus musn't be a Christian- but adhering to false doctrine doesn't necessitate unregeneration: but an unwillingness to submit to scripture and be corrected, reproofed, etc. may reveal that you're not trusting in Jesus- and if that is the case then you're either in sin or unregenerate and either way need to repent . . . what do you think?Weswisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02227390586817498508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14966686.post-75280966167990200232007-11-01T09:27:00.000-06:002007-11-01T09:27:00.000-06:00Frame seems to portray doctrine and lifestyle in a...Frame seems to portray doctrine and lifestyle in a reciprocal relationship, which I think is more proper than the "doctrine --> application" way of construing it.Sharad Yadavhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12150204571738424517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14966686.post-45733116106819652982007-11-01T00:49:00.000-06:002007-11-01T00:49:00.000-06:00what are you trying to say here? why a question ma...what are you trying to say here? why a question mark on the title? also i told you i never give up on checking on your blog.Kaseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17440131110844861545noreply@blogger.com
