Big Audio Dynamite

UPDATE: I just added a link to Ben Myers page, which contains audio links to illustrious theologians such as Karl Barth, Wolfhart Pannenberg and Oliver O'Donovan! Just scroll down to "Audio" to find the links located on the side panel.

Resources for biblical studies on the Internet abound, and a recently discovered favorite of mine are academic lectures on mp3. While keeping in mind the limits of this medium, it can be an efficient and engaging use of dead time; it’s certainly better than whistling, since the dangers of prolonged puckering are well known. In any case, if you’ve got an iPod (or another mp3 player), check out the following sites – and if you’re aware of others, be a pal and post the link in the comments!

Hey! Thanks for posing the audio sites.

Keep up the good work on your blog. And keep visiting mine, too. :)
I thought I'd drop a post to give you a bit of encouragement. :)

Those are some good resources - muchas gracias. Yesterday, I downloaded the .mp3 linked from your previous post. I hope to listen to it today.

Also, I really appreciate the solemn words regarding the dangers of prolonged puckering - my second sister would have greatly benefited from the advice - R.I.P.

Christy, thanks for your encouraging words! I'll be sure to check out your site often.

Nate, you're welcome! Do let me know if you come across any similar resources.

The story of your second sister's demise is well-known:

It was a blustery autumn morning when they found Fälteln's shriveled visage lying face down in a pile of discarded Pixi Stix. Apparently in her zealous consumption of the popular treat she had forgotten rule number 6 - and she paid dearly for it. 9 hours of fierce sustained puckering resulted in a face implosion that coroners still whisper about to this day. We'll miss you, Fälteln - but we won't miss the contorted scowl you left us with . . .

Wow. I guess I'm truly fortunate. The only consequence I endured by violating #6 was having to deal with a soggy wrapper. I was always bummed because at that point it was rough to get the remaining sugar out. I had no idea...
Can I say now that I had a near death experience?

c ;)

Yes, a wet obstructed wrapper is one possible outcome of wanton rebellion against rule #6 -- the other possible outcome is extensive nerve damage from the concentration of the industrial acids contained in a pixi stick flooding such a small surface area.

Caveat Pixitor.

Many thanks for these audio sites -- I've now been able to add Stanley Grenz to my audio links (this is the first time I've come across any of his lectures online). Keep up the good blogging!
