Stick a Fork in Me, I'm Done!

If you need me, I'll be pawning your mom's silverware . . .

As per David's request, I've made my old posts available. Doing so reset the comments for this post, so I've pasted them below:

Done like Michael Jordan, Roger Clemens, and Mario Lemieux?

I think you'll be back. You can not retire from what you love so much. :)

Bryan,

'fraid so! But thanks for the stimulating and thought-provoking conversation, Bryan!

Marc,

Yes and no. If I spend too much time explaining, I'll be blogging about it, so I better leave it at that! Thanks for your unwarranted kindness and respect on the blogsophere, Marc. You're a gem.

Caleb,

Ha! Maybe - but not in the near forseeable future, I'm afraid. I guess you never know!

It would be nice, for the sake of those who have linked to individual articles, if the blog was left up. Or is it too late?

Thanks, Michael. I'm just glad YOU'RE not throwing in the towel - I don't know how you can maintain such a pace of excellent posting with ministry responsibilities and personal study (you're obviously a well-read guy). I just can't do it with any satisfaction. In any case, thanks for your friendship and commendation!

I've come to the conclusion that there are those who are not worth quitting over.

Or even reading. I've trimmed my "favorites" list to exclude those who are not worth quitting over.

That and attempting to learn that I don't have to attend every fight I'm invited to.

I hope you stick around.

I was tempted to join in and kept thinking it was a waste of time. Now that I realized you've given up your internet presence, I wish I had jumped in if only to encourage you.

If it means anything, what I usually do is just turn off the comments for awhile.

God bless you.

I'm glad I got some quotes from the 'objectivity' articles off before you took them down. It has been very stimulating reading your blog, and I enjoyed getting to know you a bit.

Pop over sometime, if you think of it, and let us know how you are?

Isn't it great to be part of a family (smile).

Seriously, you are. And we will be keeping you and yours in prayer.

You are always welcome to guest blog on my site. You should have listened to your brother and not tried to reason with the fundies. When people read what Mike Bird wrote and are proud to be called a fundy, well you don't have much in common with them any more. After Marc's comment I read the thread he referred too, and had a right long chuckle. You and Wright as postmodernists? You have to wonder what they allow fundies to smoke now days.

Keep reading and being faithful, and say good bye to your past and embrace what God has in store for you in the future.

Shalom

Hey Sharad,
I will miss your most enjoyable interactions on the blogosphere.
Good-bye, "fork-man"!
May the Lord bless you and your family.

P.S.
I read your current post (the new last post - the really last post) and I understand what you are saying very well. I think that is a problem in this venue - too many hyper, rhetorical, judgemental responses.
